Come to Hutchinson.
Hutchinson Health Care and Rehabilitation Center (2301 N. Severance Street, Hutchinson, Kansas) in cooperation with Big Joe Productions proudly presents International Blues Artist Christian Dozzler for a FREE CONCERT as part of an Open House at the facility on Saturday, September 30th from 2:00pm-3:30pm. Donations are encouraged as this is a fundraising event for the Rehabilitation Center.
From Vienna to Austin, Chicago to Stockholm Christian Dozzler has entertained audiences with his musical abilities honed on various instruments these last forty years through association with Blues masters and experience only gathered on stages in front of live audiences.
Dozzler’s musical journey has taken him across much of the globe. In the 1980’s through the early 1990’s Dozzler toured extensively in Europe as a member of the well regarded “Mojo Blues Band. Later in the decade he formed his own group and found popular and artistic success as front man for “Christian Dozzler and the Blue Wave.” During this period Christian expanded his musical range incorporating Chicago style Blues, Boogie Woogie, with Rhythm and Blues, Zydeco, and Swamp Blues. Four CD’s resulted from this fertile time including the CD “Louisiana” well regarded with a cult like reverence lasting to the present.
By 2000 Dozzler had moved to the US full time, first as a member of the Larry Garner band and after leaving Garner’s organization until the present as a solo artist occasionally joining forces with some of the most respected names in the Blues genre.
These days the artist primarily performs solo, both in Europe and America, on occasion working with Texas Blues legend Anson Funderburgh, Freddy King’s (the Texas Cannonball) daughter, Wanda King, and with Mike Morgan and the Crawl.
Don’t miss the opportunity to hear a master of his musical craft and benefit a local institution this Saturday, September 30th, at 2:00pm. Remember admission is Free but this is a benefit concert and donations will be deeply appreciated.
